We operate the website JoinFans.co (the “Site“), as well as any other related products and services that refer or link to this Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy“) (collectively, the “Services“, “we”, “us”, “our”, “ours”).

The Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from the Site.

We may update the Privacy Policy in order to reflect changes to our privacy practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. In this case, the “last updated” date at the top of this page will be modified accordingly. It is your responsibility to check potential updates of this privacy policy from time to time.

I Personal Information We Collect

When you visit the Site, we may collect certain information about your web browser, device type, country, etc. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Browsing Information”.

Additionally, if you create an account on our site, we will collect your email address.

We use the Browsing Information that we collect to:

II.2. How we share your personal information

JoinFans.co is hosted in Paris, France by Amazon Web Services. Therefore, independently from where you live, your personal data is stored in and sent to France.

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. These third parties are:

  • Amazon Web Services (for web hosting)
  • Brevo (for emailing)
  • VWO (for analytics)
  • Jetpack by Automattic (for security)
  • Stripe (for payments)

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive.

II.3. Targeted Advertising

As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. If you provided us with the right cookie consent, we may also “retarget” you after you visited our Site.

III The case of European residents

  • Right to object to processing: You can object to the processing of your personal data. In this case, we may be unable to provide you with our Services (see III.4)

We are processing your personal information for various reasons described in detail in subsection II.1

III.4. Data Retention

For the purpose of this paragraph, we define “being active” as logging into your account or as using it.

We need to process some personal information for you to be able to use our Services. If you are a free subscriber, this is limited to your email address. If you are a paying subscriber, we need to process your email address and your Order Information. However, we will keep your personal information in our records for a maximum of 1 year after the date your account has ceased to be active. From this moment onwards, your data will be pseudonymized or deleted.
